CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Pro Bowl: 2024
  • NFC Defensive Player of the Week: 2024 (Week 6)
  • Produced five-straight games (9/8/2024-10/20/24) with at least two pass defenses, tying for the longest streak by an NFL safety since the data began being collected in 1999.
  • Became the third Lions defensive back to produce a season (2024) with four interceptions and three tackles for loss, joining S James Ihedigbo (2014) and CB Eric Wright (2011).
  • Is the second player – and first safety – in franchise history to produce a game with two interceptions and a forced fumble.
  • Is the first Lions safety to finish a game with three pass defenses and a tackle for loss (9/8/2024).
  • Ranked second among all NFL rookies in 2023 with three interceptions.
  • Produced seven tackles for loss in 2023, tied for the most a Lions defensive back has ever recorded in a single season. It was also tied for the fifth-most tackles for loss among all NFL defensive backs in 2023.
  • Is the only defensive back in the League since at least 1994 to produce a game with 10 or more tackles, three tackles for loss and two pass defenses when he did so vs. Atlanta (9/24/23)
  • Recorded a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in his NFL debut against Kansas City MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, becoming the first NFL player since 2002 with a pick-six of 50 or more yards in their first career game.
  • At 21 years, 320 days, he became the second-youngest Lion to record an interception in his NFL debut at Kansas City (9/7/23).

COLLEGE

  • Played three seasons (2020-22) at Alabama, combining for 172 total tackles (111 solo), 23 pass defenses, 19.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, three interceptions and one fumble recovery in his NCAA career. He was one-of-two FBS players to tally at least 20 pass defenses and 4.0 sacks over the 2020-22 seasons.
  • 2022: Appeared and started in all 13 games played, notching 90 tackles (58 solo), 14.0 tackles for loss, seven pass defenses, 3.0 sacks, two interceptions and one punt return touchdown.

    • Finished tied-for-fourth in the NCAA with nine forced incompletions.
  • 2021: Appeared in 15 games and tallied 55 tackles, nine pass defenses, 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack. He tallied a team-high nine pass breakups to go with a quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.
  • 2020: Appeared in 12 games with three starts, recording 27 tackles, including half a stop for loss, seven pass breakups and two interceptions. His seven pass breakups tied for third in the SEC among freshmen defenders. Member of the 2020 CFP National Championship team.

PERSONAL

  • Attended Sandy Creek High School (Tyrone, Ga.), where he became the school's career interceptions leader.
