Biography
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- In 2023, he became Detroit's first interior defensive lineman to produce 5.0 sacks in a season since Ndamukong Suh in 2014.
- Logged 8.0 sacks through the first three seasons of his career, the sixth-most sacks any Lions interior defensive lineman has logged through three-career seasons.
- Totaled 2.0 sacks and a pass defense vs. Las Vegas (10/30/23), becoming the first interior defensive lineman to do so for Detroit since Shaun Rogers in 2007.
- In Week 11 at the New York Giants (11/20/22), he became Detroit's first interior lineman to produce a game with three tackles for loss and 1.0 sack since Caraun Reid in 2015.
- Posted his first-career sack in Week 14 at Denver (12/12/21).
- Joined the Lions as a third-round selection (72nd overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft out of N.C. State.

- Played three seasons at N.C. State (2018-20), producing career totals of 77 tackles, 10.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.
- 2020: Logged 25 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

- Played at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, N.C.
- Rushed for 18 touchdowns at Sanderson and added 18.0 sacks in his career.
- Named the 2017 Cap 7 Conference Player of the Year by the Raleigh News & Observer and participated in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American game.
- Was a three-time all-conference selection as a baseball player at Sanderson, collected 43 career runs scored and batted .355 as a senior.
