Twentyman in the Huddle: Lions-Cowboys Week 6 preview

On this episode of the Twentyman in the Huddle podcast presented by Microsoft, Tim Twentyman previews the Detroit Lions second road game of the season when they visit Dallas Cowboys for the third straight season. To kick things off, Tim welcomes Ben Raven, who covers the Lions for MLive, and they go over the three keys to game. Ben and Tim discuss how Detroit needs to overcome the unexpected, limit the Dallas passing attack and be fully prepared for a Dallas defensive front that will have some lesser-known faces because of injuries. Next, Tim welcomes Detroit Lions nickel cornerback Amik Robertson, who makes his debut on the podcast. Amik talks about his time with the Raiders and why he decided to join Detroit during free agency this offseason. The veteran cornerback also shares his perspective on playing the nickel, how the Lions' secondary is gelling as a unit and what the transition is like from college football to the NFL, focusing on rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold. To close the show, Jon Machota, Staff Writer and Cowboys beat writer for The Athletic, calls in to give the latest injury updates from Dallas on key players like Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and DaRon Bland. Jon also talks about Dallas' struggle to win at home this year after going undefeated at AT&T Stadium during the regular season last year. Plus, Jon provides insight on the who currently serves as Dallas' RB No. 1 and explains how the connection between Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb will need to be in full force for the Cowboys to secure their first home victory of the year. Stay tuned for more postgame coverage of Lions-Cowboys following Sunday's late afternoon game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas!
