6 Lions named to 2024 All-Pro team

Despite leading the NFL with nine interceptions, Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph wasn't named to the Pro Bowl, but he won't walk away from a career season empty-handed as he was named to the Associated Press All-Pro Team on Friday.

Joseph is one of four Lions players to make the All-Pro Team along with tackle Penei Sewell, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and punter Jack Fox.

Punt returner Kalif Raymond and center Frank Ragnow were named to the All-Pro Second Team.

Joseph, 24, not only led the NFL with those nine interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, but he also had a career-high 83 tackles and 12 passes defended. He was the highest graded safety by Pro Football Focus for the regular season.

It's the second straight All-Pro nod for Sewell, 24, who has become arguably the most dominant tackle in the game in just his fourth season. In over 600 pass block reps this year, he's allowed just one sack and is just as dominant plowing the way for a Lions' rushing attack that scored a team-record 29 rushing touchdowns this season. Sewell is pound-for-pound one of the best athletes in the NFL.

Like Sewell, St. Brown, 25, is an All-Pro for a second straight season. He finished the regular season with 115 receptions for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns to become just the third player in NFL history to record at least 115 receptions and 10 receiving touchdowns in consecutive seasons.

Fox, 28, earned Second Team All-Pro as a rookie in 2020 but now he's a first teamer. He set a new NFL record this season with a 46.2-yard net punting average and is the first punter in NFL history to average at least 51.0 gross punting yards with a net of at least 46.0 yards in a season.

Raymond, 30, has been one of the best punt returners in the NFL since coming to Detroit in free agency in 2021. His 13.8-yard average per punt return this year was third best in the NFL and he returned one for a touchdown vs. Tennessee. He also pitched in 17 receptions and two touchdowns playing wide receiver.

One of the most consistent centers in the NFL today, Ragnow, 28, earns Second Team honors for a third time. His preparation and football IQ play a big part in Detroit's protection schemes as they ranked in the Top 10 in the NFL in sacks allowed this season. Ragnow has allowed just 1.5 sacks in 583 pass-block reps, and he has a 90.8 grade as a run blocker (No. 3 among centers) by PFF.
