Lions Legends: Lem Barney
This installment of Lions Legends celebrates the career of former defensive back, Lem Barney. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992, Lem Barney played his entire 11-season career (1967-77) for the Lions earning seven Pro Bowl bids. The defensive back intercepted 56 passes and recovered 17 fumbles in 140 career games, with 11 total touchdowns (7 INT, 2 PR, 1 KR, 1 FGR). A versatile athlete, Barney also served as the Lions' punter for two seasons.
