Don Corzine enters his fourth season with the Lions as Senior Advisor, Player Personnel Operations/Strategic Initiatives, and his 10th season in the NFL.
Prior to Detroit, Corzine most recently spent nine years as Director of Football Operations for the University of Miami Hurricanes. In his role, he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Miami football team including team travel, staff coordination, and budget control. Corzine also served on the Advisory Committee for the College Football Playoff in 2020-2021. In addition, he was Director of Football Camps for Head Coaches Mark Richt and Manny Diaz during his tenure.
Previously, Corzine spent seven seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and was named the club's East Coast Scout for his last four years. He joined the NFL ranks in June 2005 as the Cardinals' Northeast Scout and was the Cardinals representative with National Football Scouting.
Corzine served as Director of Football Operations at the University of Connecticut from 2000-05. He was responsible for coordinating team travel, pre-season camp, and team housing. Corzine also designed and implemented a recruiting evaluation system while organizing and coordinating clinics and recruiting visits.
Before being named Director of Football Operations for the Huskies, he was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the team from 1999-2000. During his six-year tenure at Connecticut, he also led the direction of the Randy Edsall Football Camp where he organized and administered housing, budgeting, and scheduling for the camp and also hired and assigned camp staff.
A native of North Canton, Ohio, Corzine graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in sports management, where he also served as a Student Coach and Video Coordinator for Bill Mallory on the IU football team. Following graduation, he worked for eight months as a graduate assistant at Ball State University.
