Playing conditions were far from ideal in the Thanksgiving Day contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions in Detroit on Nov. 28, 1968. There was no distinguishing the muddy players as the game progressed on the rain-soaked field. Managing to keep fairly clean, he was rarely spilled, was Eagle quarterback Norm Snead (16), preparing to hand off the ball in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia won the game 12-0.
