Lions vs. Vikings: Roster Connections

Vikings RB Ameer Abdullah was drafted by the Lions in 2015 and was a member of the team until 2018. In Abdullah's rookie season, he became one of three Lions players to record at least 1,700 all-purpose yards in his debut season.

Vikings OT Riley Reiff spent the first five seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions from 2012-16. Reiff appeared in 77 games (69 starts) after being drafted in the 1st round by the Lions (23rd overall) in 2012.

Lions Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell held the same position for the Vikings from 2006-10. In 2009, Bevell led the Vikings to the second-most points scored in the NFL and the NFC Conference Championship game.

Lions Offensive Line Coach Jeff Davidson (right) held the same position for the Vikings from 2011-15. Lions Assistant Offensive Line Coach Hank Fraley (left) held the same position for the Vikings from 2014-16 and served under Davidson. Lions Tight Ends Coach Chris White (center) was the assistant special teams coach for the Vikings from 2009-12.

Vikings TE Tyler Conklin grew up in Chesterfield, Mich. and attended Central Michigan University from 2014-17.

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins was raised in Holland, Mich. and was a three-year starter at Michigan State. He was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team in his senior season.

Lions OL Oday Aboushi (right), Defensive Assistant Steve Gregory (bottom left) and Vikings DT Jaleel Johnson (top left) all grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Vikings LB Eric Wilson grew up in Redford, Mich. and attended Lee M. Thurston High School.
