Lions vs. Seahawks: Roster Connections

Lions CB DeShawn Shead played for the Seahawks for six seasons from 2012-17 and appeared in 54 games with 136 total tackles (98 solo) and two interceptions.

Lions WR Golden Tate spent the first four years of his career with the Seahawks from 2010-13. Tate amassed 2,195 receiving yards on 165 receptions with 15 touchdowns over that span.

Lions Wide Receivers Coach Robert Prince coached the wide receivers in Seattle in 2009.

Lions TE Luke Willson also began his career with the Seahawks from 2013-17. Willson tallied 1,129 receiving yards on 89 receptions to go along with 11 touchdown receptions.

Seahawks SS Delano Hill is native of Detroit, Mich., and attended Cass Technical High School, which is one mile from Ford Field. During his time at Cass Tech, he helped lead his team to back-to-back Michigan Division 1 State titles at Ford Field.

Lions LB Devon Kennard and Seahawks DE Dion Jordan grew up as high school rivals in Arizona. In 2007, Kennard's Desert Vista High School fell to Jordan's Chandler High School, 20-13, in the regular season. Kennard got revenge on Jordan in the playoffs, winning 31-14 en route to Desert Vista making a run to the state championship game that season. The two remain friends to this day.

Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll was the head coach at Southern California from 2001-09, with Lions QB Matt Cassel (2001-04) and Lions LB Devon Kennard (2009) playing under him. Seahawks FB Tre Madden (2011- 13) and Seahawks G Jordan Simmons (2012-13) were teammates with Kennard at USC.

Lions C/G Graham Glasgow was teammates with Seahawks DE Frank Clark and Seahawks SS Delano Hill at Michigan for two seasons from 2013-14.
