Lions Offensive Line Coach Jeff Davidson served as the Panthers offensive coordinator from 2007-10. Davidson helped the Panthers go 12-4 in 2008 and clinch the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

Panthers WR Devin Funchess is a native of Farmington Hills, Mich., and attended Harrison High School, where he helped lead his team to a Michigan Division II State Championship in his junior year at Ford Field. He later went on to attend Michigan and finished his career tied for 12th on Michigan's career 100-yard receiving games list with five.

Panthers T Taylor Moton is from Okemos, Mich., and attended Okemos High School. He was named to the 2011 First Team Detroit News All-State team and 2011 First Team Detroit Free Press. He later went on to attend Western Michigan from 2012-16.

Lions Defensive Backs Coach Brian Stewart was the defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach at Maryland from 2012-14, coaching Panthers LB Jermaine Carter there from 2013-14.
