TWENTYMAN: 5 stats that stand out following Lions' Week 13 victory

The Detroit Lions are 11-1 on the season and currently boast a 10-game winning streak as they head into a big NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football at Ford Field.

The Lions have played some of the best complementary football this season with their offense, defense and special teams ranked among the best in the NFL.

Here's a look at five numbers that stand out heading into Week 14:

1. Number: 130.17

What it means: Detroit's passer rating when blitzed this season

Twentyman: It's really a tough spot to be in for opposing defenses. Detroit's offensive line is so talented and so stout that it's tough to generate pressure with just four rushers. But when teams decide to bring the extra rusher, quarterback Jared Goff has completed 59-of-83 passes for 783 yards with 10 touchdowns, two interceptions and has only taken five sacks.

It's one of the things that makes this offense so tough to defend. They average more than 30 carries and 150 yards on the ground. Then they have a quarterback who can make quick and good decisions under pressure in the pass game. It's no wonder Detroit's the top scoring offense in the NFL.

2. Number: 31.7

What it means: Opponent conversion percentage on third down

Twentyman: Really good defenses force takeaways, make teams kick field goals in the red zone and are able to get off the field on third down. Detroit's near the top of the league in all three areas.

On third down in particular, opponents have faced third down 139 times in 12 games and have converted on those just 44 times. Detroit's 51 quarterback hurries are among the most in the NFL and Detroit has a 10.4 hurry percentage. That plays a big factor in their third-down success.

3. Number: 51.0 & 45.7

What it means: The gross and net punting averages for punter Jack Fox

Twentyman: Fox entered the weekend third in the NFL in gross punting average and second in net punting. His ability to flip the field has been huge for this team all year, but his improved ability to pin teams deep on the plus side of the field has been really key too.

Fox has 37 punts on the year and just four of those have gone for touchbacks while 20 have pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line. He's a weapon, plain and simple.

4. Number: 55.9

What it means: Successful plays percentage on offense

Twentyman: A successful play is anytime the offense gains 40 percent of the yardage necessary for a first down on first down, 50 percent of the yardage necessary for a first down on second down or gains the first down on third or fourth down.

Over 50 percent of the time Detroit's offense is hitting those marks. They are 55.9 percent on first down and 59 percent on second down. Its a big reason why they are so efficient on third down too. They are No. 1 in the NFL on offense and lead the NFL with a point differential of 180 points (383-203).

5. Number: 31.5

What it means: Opponent passer rating on passes that travel at least 21-plus yards in the air

Twentyman: This is an especially significant number this week facing a Green Bay passing attack that likes to take big shots down the field in the passing game at a high clip.

In Detroit's 12 contests this season, opponents have thrown deep 43 times and have completed just 11 of those for one touchdown and four interceptions. The play of safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph are big here. They are terrific at getting over and helping to break up long passes.
