Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed TE Isaac Nauta to the active roster from the practice squad. In addition, the team announced that they have signed T Dan Skipper to the practice squad.
Nauta was selected by the Lions in the seventh round (244th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Georgia and was signed to the Lions' practice squad prior to Week 1 of the regular season.
Skipper returns to Detroit after the Lions claimed him via waivers from the Houston Texans on Nov. 12. In addition to spending parts of the 2017-18 seasons with the Lions, Skipper's previous experience includes stints with the New England Patriots (2019), Denver Broncos (2018, practice squad) and Dallas Cowboys (2017, practice squad). Originally entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Cowboys in 2017 out of Arkansas, he has appeared in four career games.
