Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent WR Marvin Hall and free agent QB Chad Kanoff to the practice squad. Additional contract terms were not disclosed.
In addition, the team announced that they have released WR Jonathan Duhart and RB Mark Thompson from the practice squad.
Hall comes to Detroit after most recently spending the preseason with the Chicago Bears. He originally signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Washington in 2016, and also had a stint on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad that season. He went on to appear in 24 games with the Atlanta Falcons over the 2017-18 seasons, totaling 12 receptions for 209 yards (17.4 avg.) and two touchdowns in addition to 26 kickoff returns for 616 yards (23.7 avg.) in that span.
Kanoff joins the Lions after spending the preseason with the Arizona Cardinals. He originally signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Princeton in 2018 and spent time on the team's practice squad and active roster last year.
