Lions 2025 NFL Draft pick set

The Detroit Lions season has ended after a disappointing loss to the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round of the playoffs Saturday night.

The focus for Lions general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell now turns to the offseason and improving this roster so they can take the next step in 2025.

With the loss, the Lions know they'll pick 28th in this year's NFL Draft. The losing teams from the Divisional Round of the playoffs fill out slots 25 through 28 in the draft based on regular-season records. At 15-2, the Lions have the best record of any team that will lose this weekend, cementing the 28th pick.

The Lions have held the No. 28 pick once before back in 2015 when they selected Duke guard Laken Tomlinson. A couple notable No. 28 picks over the last decade include Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy (2024) and Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen (2020; now with Ravens).

The Lions currently have six picks in this year's draft, as follows:

  • Round 1: No. 28 overall
  • Round 2: No. 60
  • Round 4: TBD
  • Round 6: TBD
  • Round 7: TBD
  • Round 7: TBD

The NFL Draft will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
