Comprised of the significant others of players, coaches, and front office personnel, as well as female staff members, the Detroit Lions Women's Association (DLWA) supports organizations working in the Metro Detroit area. Each year, DLWA engages in service projects that focus on local youth, specifically girls, women empowerment, and community development. Their efforts support the organization's goal of celebrating and encouraging the involvement of women in football.
During the 2023 season, DLWA helped package 2,500 meal kits that were distributed to the Detroit community for Thanksgiving, hosted a self-esteem workshop with students from a Detroit Lions Inspire Change Partner, the Detroit Phoenix Center, led weekly mentoring programs with girls who attend the Detroit Lions Academy, participated in team initiatives including Presents from the Pride and Shop with a Lion and hosted a baby shower for military families.
